The Toy Insider has released its 17th annual holiday gift guide that features the “Hot 20″ list along with the top STEM toys, a dozen toys under $20 and toys for specific age groups.
The Toy Insider offers product information about toys that its team tests and evaluates.
It said that the 2022 gift guide features more than 360 toys from 145 toymakers. Holiday shopping this year, The Toy Insider said, “comes with continued challenges, including record-high inflation creating price hikes across all toy categories and the still-present effects from the supply chain issues of 2021.”
Laurie Schacht, chief toy officer, said shoppers “can expect to pay up to 15 percent more” this year.
“We’re already seeing inflation impacting the toy box. Getting your hands on hot toys this year means budgeting more dollars, plus shopping early to avoid the disappointment of a sold-out toy,” Schacht said.
